Abstract

One thing that attracts consumers to order food is a menu list. Each restaurant displays a menu list that matches the food offered to customers or guests. Menu appearance is the result of creative design. This study aims to determine what factors are considered in designing restaurant menus in five-star hotels in Jakarta and which considerations domiĀ­nate the restaurant menus of five-star hotels in Jakarta. The analysis used is descriptive analysis where the researcher reports the data collected through web-side observations of each observed restaurant. The results of the subsequent analysis draw conclusions. There are 15 menu design factors that are considered in the menu design of Five Star Hotel Restaurant in Jakarta such as design format, design layout, path scan model, background color, category font color, itemed color, description font color, price font color, item image, fonts, choice of diction and menu descriptions. However, the most dominant design factors considered in the menu design of 5 five-star hotel restaurants in Jakarta are: design layout, path scan model, background color, font color, category, item image and menu descriptions
